About Close Cut Landscaping
Ernie Visnicky grew up in Orange Village, Ohio and is a 2nd generation
Alumni from Orange High School. While working with a friend and his
father in landscaping industry throughout high school Ernie expressed
the desire of nature and being outdoors.
In the late 1990s, Ernie was hired as a landscape laborer at Geauga
Lake. Demonstrating his natural hard work and determination during his
2 years of employment at Geauga Lake, Ernie ended up with the job title
'Senior Section Manager', overseeing the landscaping and park services
departments. Daily tasks included staff scheduling, budgeting, time
maintenance, and the overall landscape appearance of the amusement
park.
After attending 2 years of college, at Ashland University and Lakeland
Community College, he knew that nature was his calling. From 1999
through 2006, Ernie worked for a few local landscape companies, and
continued to excel in time management, customer satisfaction, attention
to detail, and the overall satisfaction of property appearance.
Along with the management experience learned throughout his
employment at Geauga Lake and the management positions while
employed with the 2 local landscape companies, Ernie felt that he was
prepared to start his own landscape business. In 2002, in addition to
working full time for an established landscaping company, Ernie Visnicky
decided to create Close Cut Landscaping as a part-time business. After
a few years with steady growth, Close Cut Landscaping was able to
become a full time operation.
